Play with molten glass ( in a safe environment! ) Heat, melt, form, shape and decorate glass to make a beads or cute little mushroom ornaments. Lean how to make your own glass beads by melting coloured rods in an open flame. The beads will then be kiln annealed ready for collection within a week. Whether you are new to lampwork or have tried it before this course will allow you to make whatever you feel like or be guided by the teacher, Sally. At the start of the session Sally will talk through health and safety and demonstrate lampworking and how to make a glass bead. You will be able to experiment with colours and decoration to create your own individual pieces. Please wear old clothing, with long sleeves and if possible a high neck, because the hot glass can sometimes spit. All tools and materials provided.
